Rocket back in New Orleans
Thursday, November 09, 2006
Rocket - a Chow / Finnish Spitz mixed dog who survived Hurricane Katrina, and then ended up being adpoted in Pennsylvania, has been reunited with his owner after a custody battle that ended Rocket up in court.
Rocket's owner, Sheila Combs, has agreed to drop her lawsuit against Lynne and Joseph Welsh - the Suburban Philadelphia couple who adpoted him and named the now 2-year-old dog "Rusty". The kennel who handled Rusty's adoption was also named in the lawsuit, and was indemnified with the settlement.
Attorneys for both sides refused to comment on the settlement.
