Vacation is Over ... Michael Moore's Open Letter t

Friday, September 02, 2005

Michael Moore, perhaps Boy George's most vocal, toughest critic, and independant filmmaker of award winning documentaries 'Fahrenheit 9/11', 'Bowling for Columbine', and 'Roger and Me', has posed some really tough questions to our Leader and Chief, George W. Bush.

What I found most compelling about Michael Moore's views, and what sums up the sentiments which so many are beginning to repeat, was

"No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!"

I have a very bad gut feeling that this is going to bring America the closest to a civil war we have ever been, since 1860 to 1865. A large number of black political organizations are becoming very concerned, and many even disgusted, at the lack of organization of the relief efforts of all levels of government - local, state, and federal.
